BCI was contracted by a longtime customer to construct a 30-foot-deep
basin and rehabilitate over 1,700ft. of existing pipe rack. BCI replaced columns and
structural members on the pipe rack as well as the drill piers while the pipe rack was
fully loaded and operational. This project was difficult due to congestion of the plant,
the tight time frame for completion as well encountering unknown underground
obstructions. Because of all the extra work encountered after the start of the project,
BCI was tasked with working 60 contract employees around the clock to maintain schedule.
BCI worked around 50,000 manhours and completed the job on time and without a safety
incident.
