History
Bayou City Industrial Contractors, Ltd. (BCI) was founded in 1995 by Jeff Bearden to provide mechanical and civil construction services to the refining, chemical and petrochemical industries. Jeff started BCI after working in the industry for 15 years, starting as a laborer and working his way up to a General Superintendent. In 1997, Jeff and his wife Nancy bought out their two partners.
In 2005, to provide our customers with turnkey construction services, BCI started self-performing Electrical and Instrumentation.
In 2020, to maintain Quality and schedule control over project deliverables, BCI added in-house pipe fabrication capabilities with a dedicated fabrication staff.
Due to increased customer demand, BCI later added FRP &Plastic Services to our service offerings in 2022.
With our corporate office located in La Porte, TX, BCI is in the epicenter of the Energy Capital to provide the Gulf Coast Region with the highest Quality of service. BCI is the leading full service heavy industrial construction contractor in small to medium capital markets. We take pride in that we are large enough to execute, but small enough to care.
Today, BCI is still a family company that operates debt-free, having successfully executed thousands of projects across North America, across dozens of industries while maintaining a 97% customer retention rate.
