BCI was contracted by a customer in fall of 2021 to build a new HPU System. The time frame was extremely tight with construction beginning early October and commissioning to be complete before the end of the year. BCI scope included a new Transformer, MCC and HPU Building Foundations. To make things even more difficult BCI had to work around the existing flare and temporary HPU system. Once the foundations were in place, we had to work seamlessly with our electrical crew to set all equipment, steel and piping to meet our deadline of being mechanically complete in early December. The project ended up being a total success. BCI’s customers was able to start the commissioning process in December and be operational before the first of the year. BCI and BCI subcontractors completed the project without a first aid or OSHA recordable.
